Introducing the first ever chairmen of Charollais Young Breeders, James Danforth and Oliver Chapman. James runs his flock of 25 ewes and shearlings from his farm in Tadcaster, Yorkshire.
“I’d like to bring all the Charollais Young Breeders from across the UK together to learn and develop. Sharing skills and ideas from trimming and judging to social events promoting the future of our great breed”.
Oliver farms on the east coast of Lincolnshire on the marshes near Louth, currently running 15 ewes within his Soloby flock.
“I’m looking to bring a new young fresh set of eyes to the breed with ideas to match. As a livestock auctioneer I see the importance of the commercial aspect of the breed and aim to bring that back to the forefront of the breed, and promote all the benefits a Charollais has in the commercial and pedigree sections”.
