Deborah Whitcher had a strong pen of 10 shearlings forward from her Galtres in Yorkshire which topped at 1,200 gns for a son of Bachymbyd Vengeance selling to NSA Wales and Border Chairman, Geoff Probert, Worcestershire.  Her average for the 10 finished the day at £1,018.50.

Also averaging over £1,000 for their pen of 10 yearlings were Gail and Gwyn Jones, Springhill Flock from Chepstow.  Their buyers were all commercial lamb producers who paid up to 1,150 gns twice for their best.

Best of the ram lambs came from local breeder Paul Curran, Brecon with a pen of 7 lambs from his Wernfawr flock.  Topping his trade at 1,200 gns was the day’s pre-sale champion, selling to D A Evans & Partners, Abergavenny.  The Wernfawr ram lambs averaged £757.50.
