As readers of the last e-newsletter will have noticed, the Society is sadly saying goodbye to Elaine Tinsley this week.
Charollais members have been incredibly fortunate to have had Elaine working for the Society for the past eight years (where does time go!). Everyone who has had contact with her either over the phone or at events will know just how friendly, efficient and capable she is.
Always professional and competent in a wide range of skills, Elaine’s working week ranged from sorting registration queries, designing Yearbook adverts, preparing sale catalogues and updating the Society’s website. Whatever demands were placed on her, Elaine has never missed a deadline and completed all tasks in a professional manner.
The office staff will certainly miss her, as will members, but we would like to take this opportunity to wish her all the best in her new position at the NHS hospital in Norwich.
Stepping into these shoes isn’t going to be easy, but Elizabeth Barber has agreed to give it her best shot. Elizabeth has been working remotely for the Society doing social media coverage but will now be in the office taking on Elaine’s duties, so no doubt you will be speaking to her very soon.
The Society has made a collection and will present Elaine with a leaving gift at a lunch we will be having to say thank you for all her hard work at the beginning of April.
